Welcome to the Tri-Parish Center at Faithful Shepherd Catholic School
The Tri-Parish Center at Faithful Shepherd provides meeting and event space for the parishes of St. John Neumann, St. Peter and St. Thomas Becket as well as to community groups.
What is the Tri-Parish Center?
Faithful Shepherd Catholic School and the parishes of St. John Neumann, St. Peter, and St. Thomas Becket serve students and parishioners through a variety of ministries, programs, and organizations. Many of these groups require meeting space that is not available at the parishes, and the Tri-Parish Center offers the parishes the ability to accommodate these groups. Certain guidelines are necessary in order to properly administer the policy and ensure the desired efficiency and care of the facilities used.
Who can use the Tri-Parish Center?
Faithful Shepherd Tri-Parish Center is open to school and parish sponsored events, and for a rental fee, to community groups. We welcome inquiries from anyone who needs a large or small space for a meeting, class, or event in a well-appointed, well-maintained environment.
What types of events have been held at the Tri-Parish Center?
We have booked a wide range of events, such as sports tournaments, small and large meetings and seminars, banquets, adult education classes, gatherings, and fundraisers. The parishes of St. John Neumann, St. Thomas Becket, and St. Peter's regularly hold their parish council, finance meetings and ministry training in the Tri-Parish Center.
What facilities do you offer?
The Tri-Parish Center is air-conditioned and fully handicapped accessible. Available rental space includes the cafeteria (Knights Hall), a catering kitchen, gymnasium, conference room, and single or double classrooms. The art room, media center, and chapel may be made available for rental at the discretion of the school.
The gymnasium is the largest space in the building and can hold about 450 in theater style seating. The gym includes a stage that can be used for presentations and performances. Podiums, bleachers, chairs, and a PA system also are available. This space may be split into two smaller sized gyms with the drop of a curtain.
The cafeteria can seat approximately 190 at round tables (with attached chairs). Groups are welcome to bring in their own tables, chairs, and linens. Attached to the cafeteria is a full-service kitchen (additional fee) with ample counter area and dishwasher. There is also a caterer's entrance in back.
What are the Tri-Parish Center hours?
Parish groups should contact their parish business office directly to discuss times available to book events at Faithful Shepherd. In general, Tri-Parish Center hours for community groups are:
Monday through Friday: 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. to 12 midnight
Sunday: 12 noon to 10 p.m.
Special requests are considered. Faithful Shepherd is open year-round and is closed on legal holidays.
Is insurance required to hold an event at the Tri-Parish Center?
School and parish sponsored events will be covered through the archdiocesan general insurance program through Catholic Mutual.
All other individuals, groups, and organizations that use the Tri-Parish facilities for events must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $1,000,000 aggregate prior to use. This certificate should name Faithful Shepherd Catholic School as an “additional insured,” and be written in such a manner that it is “primary” regardless of any other liability insurance that the School and Tri-Parish Center may carry. This certificate must be submitted to Faithful Shepherd at least one week prior to the scheduled event.
All groups using the premises to make, provide, or sell a product to the public must present a certificate of insurance. In addition, any group charging admission or inviting the public to an event on School/Tri-Parish Center property must provide a certificate of insurance.
Individuals may apply for insurance through the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis by requesting a form and submitting the form to Catholic Mutual Group. This requirement is also attainable by an endorsement to homeowner’s, business, or renter’s insurance from your own insurance company. All business or personal insurance certificates will need to be approved by Catholic Mutual before the event will be confirmed and finalized.
Under Minnesota State Law only adult application holders who reserve the gym for personal sporting activities may agree to voluntarily release their liability. An optional form is available for this purpose and would need to be completed prior to use of the space.
How do I reserve a space?
Parish groups should contact their individual parish office to make a reservation and to fill out a Parish Use Application Form. All other groups should contact Kelly Larson directly. Advance notice is required and all requests will be filled subject to availability.
