Learning Today, Preparing for Tomorrow
At Faithful Shepherd, every grade level participates in a fully integrated curriculum that goes beyond just the basics. All students take core subjects and specialist classes each year. Core subjects are taught daily while specialist classes are taught two to three times a week via a rotating schedule.

Working under the Professional Learning Communities model, teachers utilize ‘I Can’ statements, common assessments and flexible groupings for each unit of study to ensure that every student is progressing and learning. Teachers use the knowledge gained through pre-assessments to identify students needing additional time and skills to achieve the target; while those already proficient work on advanced learning activities designed to expand and apply the learning target.  This approach provides a constant learning experience for all students.

Religion

We teach the Archdiocesan mission of making Jesus Christ known and loved in our time by choosing to live out the Gospel in every moment. This formation is approached through the six fundamental tasks of catechesis: knowledge of the faith, liturgical education, moral formation, teaching to pray, education for community life and missionary initiation. Students attend weekly Mass and participate in school-wide service projects designed to reach local, national and global needs.
